KoolTax, LLC is a CPA firm that specializes in individual and small business income tax preparation. We have an office in Lakewood and in Aurora, Colorado. We've been preparing federal and state tax returns since 1985.

Ray Derby
Founder
Ray Derby received his MBA from the University of Denver and is an active CPA in Colorado. He made his first career in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was a Senior Marine.
Lacey Bright
Senior Accountant and General Manager
Lacey Bright is our senior accountant and general manager. She has over 13 years' experience in accounting work with substantial experience in tax including Individual returns, Schedule C businesses, rental properties, partnership and S-Corporation returns. Lacey is a graduate of Brigham Young University and received her Masters' in Accounting from Utah State University in December 1999. She passed the CPA exam and became a licensed CPA in May of 2000.
